Quick question here. When its real cold out, I mean in the single digits and below I notice that my truck knocks harder than it usually does. It does this at warm up of course but sometime I notice it after its warmed up.
I went to a meeting tonight about an hour and a half away and on the way home my truck didn't reach 180 until about 20 min before I was home. The engine was already warm from driving up there about two hours before hand.
Plus, when I left it idling in the yard so I could plug it in I noticed that it was knockin louder than usual. Maybe I'm just imagining it. But do they tend to knock a little harder when its extremely cold out reguardless if the engine is warm?
I've noticed that the knocking is not as loud when my truck is plugged in overnight. The knocking is louder when I leave work (truck is sitting unplugged for 8-10 hours).
