V-Belt Breaking.. could there be something wrong here???
I just bought this bronco back in july and had replaced some hoses and the belt. Well the other night when I started the bronco I heard a weird noise. When I opened the hood parts of the belt were all over the place. It hadnt completely broke off thank god. its of course an easy fix but how often should these belts be replaced. My tension pully has been poping once inawhile could that cause abnormal wear to the belt. I just dont want a pully somewhere to go flying off or be out of wack.
Sorry for the book here.
also notice a 1 inch crack on my passenger exhaust manifold. is it worth the trouble to just replace with stock manifold or better to just slap some headers on. I was looking at gibson any suggestions

The belt should certainly last longer than that - I don't think I've changed mine since I swapped the truck to EFI over 4 years ago. Check all your pulleys for alignment with the engine running, and make sure nothing is blowing against the belt at high speed, like a piece of the fan shroud...
