I'm thinking of adding these horns. Right now mine sounds like a honda and I hate it. I don't want the air horn sound. They say they are louder than stock. Has anyone put them in? Is it just remove old screw in new and connect???
One horn is 400 HZ and the other is 500HZ.
Hi Jimm66,
You shouldn't have any problems installing these. Your horns are mounted on a bracket under the right headlight and accessible from the ground. With just the two wires for power going to them and the horns mounted on that bracket. A 10mm socket to pull them off. Be sure to put some dielectric silicone on the terminals before plugging them in to prevent corrosion later. It looks like you have chosen kit # 85110 with the 400Hz and 500Hz. Good choice. I am sure that you will be happy with them. Joe

Hey tdister, Hella makes a good product too. I have used them in the past. I currently (just installed) have a set of 67' Cadillac horns on my truck. 3 horns but still a C note (like most horns in the U.S.A.) But you should see the metal rise in the roof top of the car in front of me when I use them. It's hard to keep a straight face sometimes when they glare at you in their mirror. Joe
No problem jimm66, That's what we are here for. Hey, let me know how they turn out for you !
Had them put on yesterday, no more honda sound. I would say they are slightly louder than a stock horn. They have the lower tone. I also had westin oval bars and a lo-pro put on. Thanks for the info.
