First Question.

O-kay guys, Ive been away since I sold my 78' Bronco. Now I've had a 00' F350 for about five years now with no problems until now. The truck is a 2000 manual with around 75,000 miles. Until recently I had the Supertuner turned on. I noticed soon after removing the tuner my cruise control and high idle are no longer working. I'm not sure if it has anyting to do with the tuner but the cruse control won't come on at all. I would greatly appreciate any help on this topic or were to start trouble shooting.

This is kinda out in left field but if the BPA (Brake Pedal Applied) switch is bad it will cause failure in both of those systems.

Similar question, my cruise was out, then it came back magically, but my cruise will not stay at one speed, ill set it at 65, then it will go down to 62 then it will try to get back to 65 as fast as it can. Sometimes it downshifts to do it. Could this also be the brake pedal thing? Don't mean to hi-jack sorry.

I dont think so, the BPA sends a cutoff signal for the cruise and high idle.

I am with Alan on this one, I used to have a Jeep grand Cherokee and they are notorious for the BPA sitch going out. and it will give you the same symptoms

Thanks to all

Thanks for the responses. Sorry for my ignorance, any idea where to start looking for the BPA. Thanks again.

The brake pressure applied (BPA) switch is a pressure switch that senses brake pressure and is redundant with the brake on/off (BOO) switch to provide a backup to deactivate speed control

Its at the end of the master cylinder under the brake reservoir
