I refuse to compete for the prize (first of all) since I am out of state.
But I DO have a 351W coming together for a Ranger truck, and I have people around me actively keeping their eyes out for a chassis.
First thing tomorrow I expect to puke, brush my teeth, shower, grab a space heater, and see how my new ridge reamer works on the shortblock out on the stand in the garage.
I may pop the valves out of the heads I have with the valve spring compressor I also recently got, but not if the heads are "Quench" chambered. I want aluminum open chamber heads on this for about a nine to one compression ratio.
I ain't got 'em yet.
The cam set is right behind me as I type this. Lifters and all - 0.500 lift, I bagged the whole shooting match for forty bucks! (Pushrods included)
I think it made five passes.
I've also decided to fabricate the mufflers myself.

so i was thinking about replace my stock steering wheel and airbag with a flamed billett steering wheel...what do you guys think...any thoughts pro or con welcome
I don't know Lew, I've heard that if the airbag had been deployed you don't have to replace it but then when you go though inspection how do you prove it was deployed?
I love the look of the billet steering wheels!!
I say go for it. Just save the stock one in case they don't pass it and you can swap them back to go through inspection.
I know I'll have lots of swapping to get me through!! First thing I will do is pack steel wool in my tail pipes..lol
I just picked up a stock Ford 6 disk CD changer out of an 03 Harley truck.
I would like to add an amp and subs. But I have no clue how to hook them up.

Phil if your going to use the OEM stereo its not hard at all. You will not get a sound like Lews but you can get them sounding pretty good. I have 2 8's and a 300 watt amp on my OEM head unit. If you want to add some let me know and well hook you up one weekend.
Cool,,thanks Brian.
I don't think I'm looking for a sound like Lew's. I don't want to spend that much. Just want to add a little bass to what I have.
I'll start rounding up the parts and we'll go from there. Thanks.
