Draining the gastank

I have to drain my tank (preferably completely) so I don't think the a siphon will get out all the gas. I doubt there is a drain on the tank. is there kits you can get for this? like pnching a hole and using a sheetmetal screw with a good rubber washer? (good idea y-n?)

Thanks!

Punching a hole in the gas tank? Bad idea.

Don't put a hole in the tank. Why do you think siphoning won't be enough? The few cups that are left aren't THAT heavy, so you'll still be able to drop the tank if that's what you're after. If you're trying to get water out, fill the tank & put "fuel drier" (just ethanol/EverClear) in the tank. If you're trying to get sugar out, drop it & rinse it thoroughly with soap & water. If you need to cut/weld/braze and you want to make sure there are no fumes, drop it & put a 75W shop light under it & a vacuum cleaner set to blow for a few hours.

If you just absolutely HAVE to have a drain plug :-X23, get a MotorMite HELP! "Transmission Drain Plug Kit" PN 65128 from a parts store, but it still won't drain it DRY.
