My 6-year-old chrome MileMarkers have held up fine to all the crap I drive thru, including knocking down a house, a brick wall, plenty of trees, and general off-road craziness.

Steve83,
That back slider window idea is great! What were the exact parts you used? I have a 96 that i would rather do that to, than worry about talking the top off. Was it a clean install? Any leakage? Thanks

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 05-Jan-03 AT 05:17 PM (EST)]Those were OE in the early 80s, but VEEEERRY rare. I had to look for about 3 years to find them, and then I had to rebuild & restore them because all the glass runs were dry-rotted & hard. I have another set that's ALMOST complete, but if you just want an easy installation at a minimum price, you should look for the aftermarket sliders. There's only 1 company that makes them and I don't know if they're still in business, but I think it was SabreForce. (Don't try sabreforce.com - it spawns a million popups and it's not the right site anyway! ) They were $375 a set and fit the NON-sliding window rubbers. Mine need their own special OE rubbers to hold them in the campershell.
