cold start oil pressure
hey guys just wodering if anyone else has run into this. I live in New York and the last few times i've started my truck (2000 f350 w/v10) my oil pressure guage does not move and i get a slight knock noise like starvation of oil for about 30 sec or until i rev the engine. had my oil changed with motorcraft 5w20 about 2000 miles ago. it only happens when set overnight if driven even with 5 hrs in betwwen no oil pressure problems and no noise noticed please help!!!!

What filter is being used?
Drain back valve could be bad
Also to sure on the guage problem I would put a mechanical guage on there.
Could also be the sender for the factory guage or the guage iself

On the side of engine the oil pressure sender may be loose.First see if it will turn back out by hand .Then take it out and put some white plumbers tape on the threads and retighten.
It probably just needs to be tightened more .
