Exclamation f250 possible brake problems

i just bought a 90 f250 4x4 and i feels like the truck is slightly being held back like if im at a light and i hold in the clutch it wont roll, and the more i drive the worse it gets, but theres no brake like on...i dont know if its a hung up caliper or what? so i took a jack home from work, and after getting home i lifted the front end and spun the tires and the right tire was stiffer to turn than the left, does anyone have any idea what it could be?

I would say you probably have a brake pad or caliper not returning all the way away from the rotor. Did you check the rear end to? I had that problem on my 84 F250, the rear drums were "sticking" so it stopped it self alot at slow speeds.

Caliper sticking is a common problem with these trucks, especially right after you put new pads on. The piston is extended way out because of the worn pads, and rust develops in the caliper wall behind it. When you take a C-clamp and push the piston back in for the new pads, the piston runs right over the rust and usually will stick later on.
