Is this a normal Temperature?

I got 96 PSD Auto. Seems to me that it is running a bit hotter than other PSDs
I have driven.

Outside temp approx 40-45 F. Just Highway driving, NO load.

That is exactly where my 97 temp is, is that really only 19k miles on your truck? If it is that is like brand new truck.Jcab

It is about what mine looks like. You can't really go by the stock gauges anyway.

Was worried that previous owner got wrond coolant in it.

Yea, only 19K so far,
Hopefully I will figure out that knock/cackle noise so I can drive it more often.

Lightbulb

I have a 96 and the temperature is pretty similar. But WOW, only 19K miles, unbelivable, mine has 139K. Congratulations.

My 97 sits right about there, FWIW.
That engine isn't even broke in yet!

My 97 runs right about where yours show. I think the first '1' isn't lighting up properly.

thats about normal. mine gets a little warmer because i upgraded to a 203* t-stat. i'm just amazed at the low milage. she'll be running for many years to come.

on a side note.. ech0sh4y, i've got a pic at 180,000 on the odo, and 3000 rpm... only on a long straight road with nobody around.

My 97 runs at that temp too. I now have a real water temp gauge and it normally reads between 180-195 when its fully warmed up.

good to hear that the temp is right as it should.

Low miles on this truck are nice to have, but if I decide to sell I would have a hellava time convincing new buyer that they are real. don't you think.

But if my truck won't give me any big problems, I see no reason to get rid of it.

I posted in the last thread f yours, I'm replying to this because for some reason if I recall thier was a TSB out for this problem beyond what I went through, I know the later engines expearenced cackle if I am almost sure that thier was a TSB put out by ford for our engines as well that involved a long stroke injecter for number 8 cylinder
