Automatic Transmission Problem- Ideas?

I have a 2002 F250 4X4 (Diesel) with an Automatic. It has 100,000 miles mostly trouble free. The problem is when under acceleration, when the transmission shifts into overdrive and when the converter locks up there is a rumbling noise that can be heard and felt through the vehicle. It has gotten worse over the last 10,000 miles. It is not terrible and doesn't seem to be affecting anything, it just bugs the heck out of me. This truck has been babied, never worked. Anybody ever heard of this?

When ws the last tranny flush? It sounds like the TC but if it hasn't been flushed in a while it might buy you a little time.

Sounds like converter shutter. A transmission flush would be a good place to start. If that doesn't correct the problem it may need a converter.

Have a look at the mounts and exhaust.
Mounts may have sagged and the exhaust may be touching the frame or cross member.
