The X in 06X means power steering with Adjustable Column * Tilt*
F is probably the Trans code for the Warner 4 speed
117 is 117" wheelbase
SF4 - is the trim code
S= seat type (new for 79)
F= colour (new for 79)
4= Styleside
101- Body GVWR code = 4800 lbs
EJ1913= your truck was built in arpril 1979
check your plate here as well on my page to verify.
It covers a few years with some things but moreso for 77-79

problem is somethings don't match up
It is an Explorer but has no adjustable steering column, and I didn't see a J trans code.
I was hoping that it would tell me if it was a C4 trans or C6

Hey Guys.. Ive got a 79 F100, I dont really need the WHOLE vin decoded, just the trans code of K and the axle code of 11J *im assuming its refering to power Steering..
