Did you mean to ask if anyone has NOT had trouble with it? Pretty common problem. Mine developed a leak last month. But it's hard to say for sure if it's the gasket, a cracked manifold, or the donut. You can't hear the exhaust leak when it idles. I'm going to get under the truck one of these days and see if I can see anything that looks amiss, like blackening somewhere or a crack in the manifold.

You had no gasket under your exhaust manifold? As far as I know there should be a gasket there, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

How do you guys know it is leaking? Is there a noise? What kind of noise? Visible blow by?

Just curious, I think I may have the same problem. There is a "chick-chick-chick" sound at low idle while in gear. No sound at speed.

You can hear it. It is like the sound you are describing, however an exhaust leak is usually heard under acceleration, and not heard at idle or while coasting unless it is pretty big. If your sound is heard at idle, and disappears under acceleration, it is probably something else.
