Need Starting Help! Urgent!
Hi guys, I can't get my truck to start. Replaced the ignition switch, plugs, wires, coil, had box tested and it was good and i assume the distributor is ok having been rebuilt and used for the last 10,000 miles or so. I parked the truck and went to start it the next day and no spark. Pulled a plug wire and cranked but no spark except when connected directly to coil wire and even then, only had a weak spark when the ignition was switched on and off, nothing while cranking. I NEED this truck for when it snows in a couple days here in CT, because i drive a rwd car, and this truck has my snow plow. Thanks for the help in advance. Greatly appreciated, Andrew

This'll sound nuts. I had a bronco did the same thing, bout 15 years ago. Check every fuse in the fuse box and replace them no matter what they are labled. It's been too long since it happened to remember which one it was. However, I vividly remember that there was one fuse that completely shut it down. I hope you find this works, it'll only take ya 5 minutes, less if you have a quality test light.

check ignition box as previously suggested if you find waxy looking stuff coming from it that is your problem you can usally find good ones in a salvage yard or you can get them new just make sure you get the right one
