Hi,
Just found this site tonight and so far I'm very impressed! I'm Gary from KY. I purchased an 01 F250 4x4 diesel crew this weekend and trying to find out as much as I can on performance, mods, etc. I've been a Ford man all my life and would dream of owning anything else. My other Fords are: 05 freestyle, 99 cougar, 97 and 99 escorts, 2 66 stang convertibles, 28 5 window coupe, and an 86 mustang drag car. I own a bodyshop and have lots of projects.
Sounds like you are set with your current ride and your fleet of vehicles. lol Having a bodyshop sounds like it would be the cats meow for any project you might have.
There is a lot of information here, enjoy the site!
ghines - Frun da hills o' eest Tenusea, I welcome y'all to the best site fur info about Fords. Fur my own reasons - What paint would U use for base under sum 'ghost effect' flames ? A dark metallic blue, 2 start with.
ghines - Not in a rush. I do the 'puter when it's free. The truck is down for the count - at the moment. The truck WAS 'Midnight Blue' (dark metallic blue). The Colorado hail dents have been fixed and primed and is currently black w/ a white top. I would like an in-between blue of what it was and the bright Doorango blue. I've gotten a Mercedes blue and a VW paint code that I like,,,, after the body work gets done - which may include a bed swap. That will be after the engine gets rebuilt - which has got to be done before school lets out for Spring Break. Just getting the "ducks lined up" so to speak before hand. My other 1/2 says I plan tooo far ahead. I want to take the girls camping/fishing this summer, and the old truck is the only thing we all can fit into WITH camp gear and the boat on top. My wife and I use the bed/canopy as a bedroom. The old beast is like a mini-motorhome, and I can tow my other 'buggy' for offroad stuff. Nana & mom stay in camp while I take the girls (5 1/2 ) and fling mud or climb hills. I have thoughts about ghost flames on the front fenders w/ camelion paint. It will be primed before delivered for paint. I've been told that black primer is best for dark colors. Looking for opinions and advice. I can supply the paint, etc.
