bad vibrations!!!
my 92 ranger just today developed a bad vibration.my u-joints seem to be fine ,no play.im pretty sure my trans is good as well because it feels to be in the rear.my tires are brand new,but awhile ago i used a stethoscope on the rearend and heard ticking.could the bearings be letting go?the vibration starts but once im up to speed,about 65,it cruises fine w/little vibration.if i get to 70 it vibrates worse until i get back to 65.please help me!!!!

Need to know more about your 92! If it's a super cab best check the carrier bearing!
As for your new tires, just cause they're new don't mean they can't be/go bad sooner than expected. I just had a new one go bad two weeks ago, and they only had 20,000 mi on em.

I had a set of spider gears go bad in a rear once that caused a lot of vibration and excessive slack in the driveline but my first bed would be to go to the u-joints even if they don't seem bad and then to the carrier bearing.
