I replaced my element for the plug in heater, and it still seems its not working
last year i pluged it in for the first time, came out the next morning and my temp was just above the line from the "c"
this year i went to plug it in, nothin! i checked the power when it was plugged in with one of those beeping voltage tester you use for house wiring, and it showed power to the element. i replaced the element, and pluged it in last night
went to start it in the morning, the guage never moved
is there anything else that controls the element? i used a factory ford part for my 99
It depends how cold it is out side on wether the temp gauge will move. If the temp is much below freezing the needle doesn' tmove much. If you are unsure if the heater is working, crawl under your truck and put your hand where the element is to see if the block is warm.
