Sagging front end
I was under it this morning and noticed that both pivot bushings were shot. I replaced them this afternoon and it brought the front right back up were it should be and now the tires are even in a little at the bottom. It also tightened the steering up, it would wander some on rough roads and that all seems to be gone now. I think I'll get the front end aligned sometime next week, it looks like it's toed out a little.
If someone is going to change them, I found out a few things the hard way. I couldn't get the drivers side (the rear one) to drop down enough to access the bushing until I loosened the radius arm bushings and unbolted the bottom of the rear passenger side shock (it has the quad shocks). The passenger side dropped down easily enough without unbolting the drivers side shock though.
There is probably a specialty tool for removing the old bushings but I used an air chisel and it knocked them right out. The bolt heads are 18mm while the nuts are 21mm, one of Fords better ideas
I had both sides of the frame on jack stands and using one jack, it was easy to get the holes lined back up. I spent about 3 hours doing it but could probably do it again in about half that time. I figure it was a well spent 25 bucks.
