Introduction
Hello from the frozen state of Maine. Just found out about this site and the forum.
By way of introduction, I operate a one man shop on the coast of Maine in South Portland about 200 feet from the Atlantic. I restore antique auto and marine engines, mostly Ford from the 30's to the 60's. I built my first flathead V8 when I was 16 and have been at it for 50 years so far. I spent 40 years handling auto damage claims for many insurance companies as an independent adjuster and appraiser.
Currently restoring a couple of Y-Blocks, a full restoration of a '58 MG and major restoration work on a '23 Arons Fox firetruck. Have a couple of barns full of flathead V8, Y-Block, and Chris Craft engines, gearboxes, starters, generators etc.
Looking forward to obtaining needed info and contributing when I can.
