Simple question?

Can I hook up a battery charger to each of the two separate batteries on my 2000 PSD, to help cure a low battery? If so, is there an advantage to doing this (ie. faster charging rate)?

Thumbs down

I'd just disconnect one of the batteries.

I'm drawing on some very dusty DC theory, but basically, you're applying 2 different ground sources and positive sources to the same circuit without isolation. It'll fry something worst case, or b/c of the parallel connection of the batteries, the auto-sensing nature of todays chargers might "negate" each other.

Better safe than sorry.

I have hooked up over three battery chargers all on engine start / high to one battery when testing for SPL competitions. They worked fine but I did not have them on but a few minutes for testing. Dont hook up more then one. It may work but you will cook your battery faster. The faster you charge a battery the more you reduce its life span. Its best to trickle charge a battery over night.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I'll keep it under advisement. I was looking for a quick charge (at the time) and thought about hooking up a charger to each battery but something told me that may not be wise.
