01 V10 no idle??

01 V10 no idle??

Went to start my pickup this morning and she hit right away but won't idle. Took a while to restart and the only way it restarted was to give it some gas. It seems to run fine along as the foot pedal has got the engine but as soon as I let off the pedal to drop to an idle, it will die. Any suggestions?

I am assuming the IAC but I am uneducated on this. This is in 20 degree weather. IAC is original equipment as far as I know with 144000 miles on it.

Thanks for the quick reply and the tip. I guess one should replace the IAC about like one should do the CPS on the diesels, that is do it before you need it.

Some IAC's crap out the first year or two, or the first 10K miles...

Some last forever. Like mine - so far ; )
