GOOD FOR YOU! She sounds like a really nice pup. When we going to get to see some snapshots?
Just after Christmas we got Babes, a Shepard/Lab cross pup about 7 months old from the SPCA as well. We lost our best bud Utah, a 10 1/2 year old Shepard to cancer on Dec.12, that was a very bad month for us.
Congrats!! Pups are great! We adopted a black Lab @4 years old at the shelter in Cold Lake, and last June we adopted a Lab/Shepherd cross from Kenora. Great animals, great pals!!! When we ride in the Crew Cab people chuckle, old truck, two dogs, me with the hat, just need a rifle rack in the rear window!! lol
As I'm reading this my wife is playing with her horse/ dog Rosie. She is 7 months we have had her and figure her to be 9 months old. Man is she filling out. At least she has stopped grow up. Just filling out now. She is protective of the wife. If we are goofing around and the wife scerams out as if I'm hurting her. The dog gets betwen us and barks at me. So If anyone trys to hurt us I think she will be a great guard dog.
So Dustin treat that dog right and she will also be protective of your family too.
Yeah thanks everyone i plan to treat her good she seems to be well mannered not very noisy brings lots of fun and joy hard to believe its ours cause i have never had a pet in my sixteen years of living she is pretty quiet but active and not very protective yet some dogs are like that some arent but she is just getting used to us and still developing cause she is a pup and we havent been messing around much i know with my relatives dog she is very protective
Well since i dont know how to post pics in a post ill maybe make up a gallery soon
Everynight when I sit and watch TV it is nice to Have Sadie get up and lay down on the couch with we. I just scratch and stroke her. She just lays there socking in the gentle loving of petting her. I have to help her up at times. She has hip displasia. Some days it bothers her pretty bad. Don't know how she is since we only had her just over a year. Saved from the Nipawin pound. They only get 3 days there and it's over for them Smaller town smaller budget. Shes been a pretty good dog and loves cars rides.
Her and my other dog Foster have hit it off pretty good too. You see them standing resting their heads on each others shoulders. They say that is dogs way of afeection towards a mate. They both have been fixed.
Is that something you plan to do Dustin get her fixed? If so I know a vet who is cheap and loves dogs. He has a small practise so costs are lower and he passes them onto you. He cares about our animals. After they have had any problems or surgery's like being fixed he calls us later. See how the animal is doing.
Dr Elbermania At Prairieland Vet Clinic by the Exhibition. He is next to critters. He is good and has been taking care of our dogs and some friends for years now. Major operations he will send you to the vet college, but having your pet fixed he can do.
He is just right by the Ruth St exit ramp.
We started going there last summer with Utah and that`s where she went on Dec.12 for her last and final visit when she had cancer to be put down at 6.16 PM.
