ihave a 82 f150 4wd that had a300/np435/np208/9"rear. ihave aquired a solid 89' 460 with about 30k miles on it.if i put this in the truck would the axles hold up? i would also replace the np435 with a fresh t19.also the axles have a 3.00 ratio and a posi front and rear.

The gear ratios are awful in the 435. The T19 diesel is much nicer for the road but maybe the granny low would be useful if you are the rockcrawler type .
The six banger must have been a dog with 3.00 gears
the t19 is the original trans from the 460. came in a dually, and is like new. i would think it would be just as strong. the gears are similar except 1st. i think 6.32 vs 4.02.
