I am trying to order new bolts for my timing cover, and water pump on my 91 f-150 an on northern they have the bolts but they say longer than stock will they still work and what are theylonger for? Thanks in advance for any help.

They are longer because they work on other vehicles than yours. It wont hurt your truck to use them, if that is what you are worried about. They are a mulit-purpose bolt, thats all. I hope this helps you.
