insteady idle and stalling 99 exp.
hubby went to clean up air intake on the 4 door explorer. and now it wont stay running .it is rough starting ,popping through the engine an stalling..help i need my truck we cant keep it running long enough to bring it down to put on the computer any ideas guys

How did he clean it? What was it doing before it was cleaned? What year and engine? Does it stay running if you give it a little bit of throttle?

its a 4 door v-6 4.0...no it was running fine before cleaned it..they replaced the some part for the idle this morning but it is still not idling right and wont stay running,,they also put new plugs and wires in.it all plugs are firing and in the right firing order

Did they clean the MAF? If so, were the wires plugged back in and was the unit sealed back up properly? Was the intake air hose removed from the throttle body? If so, was it reconnected properly everywhere? If not, air going into the engine won't pass through the MAF and be properly metered. Was a vacuum line removed to clean the upper engine using Seafoam or similar? If so, was the vacuum line replaced properly? Also, you didn't mention if the engine would stay running if you give it a little bit of throttle.
