hey guys, picked up a cheap truck for some running gear. it has a 351w/c-5? well the starter wasn't meshing properly with flexplate is why it was sold because they were told was excessive crank runout by somebody. first thing i did was make sure the brand new starter they had purchased was correct, it was. they had changed the transmission and i wonder am i dealing with a bent flexplate or one installed backwards? the last time i dealt with flexplate issues was my 67' mustang with 200/c-4 and i had to run starter loose or bend in flexplate would hammer starter.flexplate was bent from previous transmission install and replacement solved problem. thanks
