Battery Charger

Anyone ever hook up a permanent kind of battery charger on their truck? I'd like something I could just plug in while my truck sits to keep the batteries topped off. My truck sits out in the cold for a week or more sometimes. The past few days have been between 0 and 10 deg and yesterday am it started up pretty slow. Of course it was 1 degree outside according to the lie-o-meter lol. If anyone's done it, what kind of charger did you use? Just mount it under the hood and run the plug out near the block heater? (I have a 2003 with a 7.3 if it makes a difference.)

Yeah, plugging it in definitely would have helped. I usually leave it plugged in and on a timer when I know I'll be using it, but kinda got stuck last minute this time. I thought the cold was draining the batteries. It did start up but it wasn't happy about it. Ran fine once I got it to turn over. Maybe the charger is a waste of time and $? Once it warms up I'll put gauges, Kwik, and exhaust on so I can add a DP. I'll use my time for that instead
