Pyrometer gauge question

Installed the pillar mount with the pyro, boost, tranny gauges when I turn the key on the pyro will bounce up to 300 and drop to 0 then when I start the engine it will bounce up to 600 or 700 then drop back to 0 and start slowly up to 300 and operate ok from then on as I start driving down the road getting up to 600 or 700, does this sound like its operating right, the boost and tranny work fine. They are ISSPRO gauges.

Not sure on the ISS's I have autometer's and they operate oposite of that. when you power on the gauge drops to 0 for a "self test/calibration" and then returns to the temp.

Mine:

Turn key to on: No movement.
Turn key to crank: Climbs to around 300
Once Started (cold start): Fall to just above lowest reading and starts climbing

Hope this helps.
