HB bulbs same as 9005?
HB bulbs same as 9005?
I have been looking at some PIAA ion crystal bulbs for my factory fog lights. They list an HB with no number like HB1 , HB2, etc -- just a plain HB. Will this fit in same application as 9005?
Each 900x has a coresponding HB number. Here is what you need.
Twin Pack 19615
Single Pack 19015
Bulb Type 9005 (HB3)
Wattage 60w = 120w, 4000K
Technology Xtreme White Plus with XTRA Technology
So 9005 is also called HB3

Those are the ones I want for my headlights but I want to try the ion crystal (yellow) for the fogs. They only show a plain HB that looks like the 9005 (HB3) but doesnt say if the same.
13555 is a 980 bulb
They look right, but I wouldn't expect them to fit. The key ways are most likely wrong or off clock.
I looked through 50 pages of Piaa PNs and the best I can offer you is to replace the lamps with a fog light that takes a H3 bulb. I think you will be happier in the long run any way.
