Stock EFI down pipes diameter?
Looking for the size of the stock EFI downpipes that come off the EFI manifolds, into the first cat.
Will probably get the search scolding, but i'm really lazy....

I believe it's 2" pipe. I put a homemade y-pipe on my truck to replace the first cat after both cat inlet pipes broke clean off. I mistakenly used 1 7/8" pipe to make the "Y", and really had to expand the ends.

Alright, thanks for the info. I haven't cut teh cat off yet, but plan on it. Based on the circumference i figured it was about 2.5". Called up NAPA and the closest y-pipe they had was 2.25", so i was trying to confirm anything before i bought parts. Plan on keeping the stock downpipes into the y and run it back maybe into a muffler.

Summit sells a Flowmaster Y collector with 2" primaries into a 2.5" collector. Not unreasonable at $40. I've considered doing this instead of the infamous walker 45166 downpipe. Still havent decided yet.

Thought about the Walker downpipe, but heard mentioned that the stock pipes have better flow if you just y them. Plus with the downpipe costing what, 60 bucks, a y might be cheaper anyway.
