2004 axle code

I am looking at a 2004 F150 with the following VIN 1FTRX125X4KD88947, I believe that the axle code is the 8th & 9th characters. (5X).. Since we pull a travel trailer I need to know what axle ratio this truck has. Anybody know ??

Cant help you using the vin but if you check the door pillar there is a code. I can tell you that B6 is 3.73.

Would look for an 06 think most of the early bugs were out by then maybe even have a different plug that you can get out??

axle code

Call the parts desk at a ford dealership with the vin. Maybe they have the info or get the code off the door off new trucks on the lot and check the window sticker for its meaning.
