BTM Installed, YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

This morning I went to the local Muffler shop and had the BTM installed. What a difference, the sound and throttle response is excellent. I was stupid though, I should have brought the pyro sending unit to have the guy drill it in for me so it would be a cake walk for me to finish, oh well. So far the BTM is the first item installed of my recent items purchased. My tri guage pod is all wired and ready to go in, But its -2 with the wind chill so they will wait along with the AFE stage 2. Cant wait for a lil warmer temps.

Thumbs up

twisted, nice, It sure is hard doing mods this time of year hugh? I frooze my but off 2 weeks ago installing my guage pillar. took approx 6 hours taking my time and running back in the house to warm up often. my MBRP 4 inch SS exhaust is going on tommorrow at 7 am. Im using my friends Diesel rapair shop to get it done in. Then all i need the the DP tuner and the bts valve body. I might wait until april for that. Even though i'm itchy now to get it all done. Hey Jeff, I hear ya on the cold. When you say it took you six hours to install the guages, does that include putting in and wiring the pod? Ive allready pre-wired the pod, took about an hour in the comfort of my family room. I have all the wires and and boost hose attached to the pod, gonna run down the dash and out the firewall instead of running up the dash and trying to attach all the wires and boost hose while cramped in the corner, Im hoping that it saves me alot of time. Trans is easy, Boost easy, Pyro gonna take a bit longer being cautious. Then the AFE, then DP, and BTS.

Twisted, yes i did exactly the same thing, I pre wired it in my recliner and read the directions from front to back then got familiar with what wires are for what etc. When I drilled my exhaust manifold i used a 1/8 bit first then 1/4 then the "r" size. then tapped the hole vaccuumed it out, and installed the thermocouple. Prob took me 10 mins to drill and tap the exhaust maniold. Most of the time was spent on the wireing. tiewraps (that snapped because it was so cold) and making a nice install. I also went back out the next day and painted the thermocouple with heat paint where it threads into the exhaust manifold. Just my personal perferance. make sure you use never saize on the threads incase you ever want to remove it. so i spent about 1.5 hours in the warm living room doing the pre wire assembleing the pillar and all that stuff. Then i started the following day at 9:30 am and finished about 2-2:30pm so maybe 4 hours. and that was running in and out to keep from getting frost bite. funny how bad this mod stuff get to ya, once you have it in your hand you cant wait to get it installed... just like a kid again... Jeff

Because I live in NJ, we have a mandatory inspection every 2 years on all vehicles that are 10,000lbs or less. The DMV also does roadside vehicle inpections. Dont want to pay the fine.

They look under with mirrors. The law states that the exhaust has to include all components as per factory, muffler, catalytic, If it was in the car when it was built it has to be in there. You can change it, but everything has to be there. "This State Needs An Enema"
