turbo problems

turbo problems

is the turbo comp. wheel supposed to turn freely? i just took it off and apart to replace the oil seal under the turbine plate..put everything back like i took it off and the turbo now seems to be locked up....is there a spacer that might have broken up and fell off....?i know im tired of messin with this problem..

Should spin very freely.

am i missin a spacer comp. wheel was a little stiff before i pulled it out.but at least you could spin it with your fingers, now it takes a ratchet..

if you split the turbo housing when you disassembled the thing, you may have the assembly cocked a bit upon reassembly. If you didnt mess with the turbo housing at any time, it should spin freely after reassembly unless the turbo bearing is coked from shutting down while hot.
