I put a set on the rear of my 2004 Crew cab dually, Heavy rubber with stainless steel insert on the bottom, with anti sail brackets, $100.00 bucks from J.C. Whitneys. They actually look pretty good on the truck....
I have installed mud flaps on my f-250 but I did it a little different. Its more work and may cost a bit more....but they will last forever. Buy a pair of heavy duty SEMI...18 WHEELER TYPE FLAPS...that are all rubber reinforced. Buy a piece of angle iron and cut to size...the width you want the outside of the flaps to come too. Cut down the flaps to the proper hight...Attach to angel iron to the frame of your truck...ya ..your gonna half to drill holes. Put in spacers if needed....attach to cut down flaps to the angle iron with proper nuts and bolts with big washers....They been there for 15 years and still look great. They are heavy enough to stop anything from hitting the rear of truck of trailer. Also....the truck looks like a truck....not a silly little flap behind a tire hanging from a wheel well.
PHWLEE, I bought the ones from the site below. If you want they will cut them to any size you desire if you dont find a size you like. Talk to Dennis. Quality products and great customer service from these guys. http://www.kaydenco.com/

Thanks. I took a look at that link and they look real nice. I think I will be ordering a set. Hopefully I can get them on before the snows come. It's cold enough but I would like to install them before the salt starts flying.

I do metal work on the side and have a small metal shop in my garage. I was thinking that exact design you mentioned. I'm gonna try and see if I can get stainless steel so I don't have to worry about rust.

Ditto on mine and used stainless steel. Added a piece of diamond plate to the lower end that matches the tool boxes and running boards. Look and work great.

I was trying to come up with an idea for replacing the mudflaps on the rear of my truck. It is an '01 F-250 4x4, 4" lift and I have Bushwacker fender flares, so the ones that attach to the fender lip are not an option. Would you happen to have a picture of your install just so I can see where you drilled and attached the angle?
I mounted mudflaps off a semi on mine to. I had to cut out a little bit for the springs. I get alot of compliments. The only thing is, when Mounting them, make sure either they are high enough or you put a chain on them so if you back over a curb or a rutt, it doesnt pull off from your tire, or mess up your quarter panels.
I have $7.50 into each flap, and they are functional.
I need some mudflaps for my '06 F-350. Everytime I spin the rubber off the tires , it sticks to my 900 dollar exhaust tip . I don't want anything too big, just big enough to catch the rubber and dirt. It's ruining my stainless steel tip!!! Any suggestions? Pics of yours?
