Engine components question...
I have been telling my friend that is going to help me out with installing a 302HO cam and some 1.7 ratio roller rockers that I will gain some pretty nice hp numbers with this combo. I was told that the 92 F-150 302 engine I have now has 1.6 rocker arms already and there really can't be much of difference other than the roller tips on the 1.7's right. What will the 1.7's do for the lifts on the intake and exhaust of the HO cam which the numbers are .444 for both the intake and exhaust lifts? Will it raise the lifts up to a .472 lift like I am thinking. My friend is telling me that there really isn't anything special about this combo. Is 40hp asking to much?
