Clearcoating alloy wheels
I'm planning to have some alloy wheels polished and clearcoated.Has anyone had any experience with acrylic clearcoating,POR-15's Glisten PC or Eastwood's Diamond Clear?If you've got good or bad stories about a product or company,I want to hear from you.

Talk about opening a can of worms. lol Man, there are a million different paint products out there that you can use depending on just how much you want to spend. I do like the Martin Senour clear though, it's very durable especially on something like the wheels which see the worst of everything as far as contaminants and crap off the road. Sherwin Williams also makes a very good urethane clear which isn't too terribly expensive.

I just baught a set of Frod Racing SVT super duty wheels and they are polished aluminum. To my surprise, they are not coated. Know I dont want to polish these things on a weekly basis. I am bringing they buy a powder coater to have them cleared.
Anyone ever do this? What can I expect?
