What size wipers.

I was just thinking of this and was wondering what size wipers you guys are running. I have noticed when I get to work that I see othe F150s with shorter wipers than what I have. I am running 22in wipers, and it seems like that they miss at the very far ends of the blades. Also what size wipers came on the truck originally would be helpful.

20 is what the book said when I bought new ones. Forgot to measure if I could get bigger ones or not.

Thanks guys for the replies. I kind of thought that the wipers were the correct size but wanted to make sure.

I think some of them called for 20's, and then changed somewhere along the way. Mine had 20's on it new, but I put 22's on when I replaced them. Much better coverage, or uncoverage. Hmm, there's a good one.

You can use a 22 on the D side and a 20 on the P. side. 22's on the P. side usually don't touch the windshield at the bottom.

i have a 24 on the driver side and a 22 on the passengerside....the passenger should be a 20 max bc the 22 doesnt hit the bottom of the windshield and the 24 misses parts of the windsield while driving on the highway in the rain

if i can remember correctly...it came stock with a 20 on the D side and a 19 on the P side

I notice my 22in on the P side misses at the very bottom but that's only wher it really misses.

On my 99 F 150 i run 19 inch blades in the winter, they do not cover as much of the windshield. But, they do not freeze up as bad in the winter here in Michigan. In the summer I run the OEM size and they do fine. I tried the winter blades and found that was a real aggrevation , because the wind would pick them up off the windshield on the down stroke, thus leaving a mess on the windshiel at highway speeds (55mph and above). It is a matter of choice for you though.

By looking at the poll it pretty much is 50-50 on what size blade to use. I have had no problems in the winter with my blades lifting.

I use 11" blades. I feel that this increases your blindspots and adds a new 'fear factor' to driving. You should try it.

20" work fine for me. The triple edge wipers are junk. I finally found some and they don't wipe good at all. I have found that Trico (factory brand) blades work the best for me. Unfortunately, the only place that carries them close is PepBoys and I hate going there.
