another question on fuel

I have owned a 7.3L IDI N/A for 4 years now. It is a 94' 4x4 250 with 230,000 miles on it and it has been a great truck. I recently bought a turbo with all the pipes off of a 7.3L IDI turbo truck and I'm in the process of installing it. I have also ordered a 3" down pipe, pyrometer, boost gauge, oil cooler, and a cold air intake. My question however is how much do I turn up the fuel and what do you recommend as far as exhaust size?

You need a different turbo outlet flange to use a 3" downpipe if is a stock Ford turbo.
I installed the thermocouple for the pyrometer in the drivers side exhaust manifold right above the connector for the cross over pipe. Keep it below 1200 degres at that location.
I would start with 2 flats on the fuel screw.
Then keep an eye on the pyrometer, if it wants to go over 1200 either back out of the throttle or turn the screw back out a bit.
If you can't get it up to 1200, turn it in more about 1/2 flat at a time.
I would also keep the boost numbers under 12 PSI with that many miles on the engine or you may be doing head gaskets soon.

I would go 3" or 4" for the rest of the exhaust after the downpipe.
3" will do, 4" would be better, but the 4" will also be more expensive.
Bigger pipe lets more heat out of the engine faster, keeps the EGT's down lower.
See through muffler or no muffler at all.

I was thinking no muffler, but is there an advantage to a muffler besides toning down the noise (which I like by the way)? by the way do you think a turbo is a bad move this late in the game (I only paid $450 for it)?
