Head Removal

Pretty straight forward except for two things:

1.0 The heads are heavy and you will need atleast two people to lift and/or have a hoist to help you with that.

2.0 Not the easiest thing to get at some of the head bolts and exhaust bolts and some guys actually recommend pulling the entire motor to make this job a lot faster and easier. With the engine out, you get better access and control on the re-installation of the heads, gasket, etc...

If you are going to do the heads make sure you change all the glow plugs and injectors at the same time. Sometimes if the glow plugs are the wrong type of plug or have been in too long the plugs won't come out and you need to remove the heads for that anyways. Do the plugs while the heads are out to avoid pulling the heads twice.
