Progressive Oil Leak
Started developing an oil leak directly under the bell housing over the holidays.
Took off the Fly wheel cover, cleaned up the oil and too my best guess it looked like it was dripping from the rear main seal.
Took it to the dealer under the warranty last week. (Plus I had a door actuator that was bad, that was also under warranty)
Figured it would be a couple of days. Next day, mid morning, trucks all done. They state its the turbo o-rings. (actuartor was also replaced)
Pick it up in the late afternoon drive it home. Park, leave an hour later to get the kids. As I pull out I see a nice new oil leak in the driveway.
Get back throw some paper under it. Next morning, nice new oily paper. Call dealer, and then proceed to bring it back. On the way there the dash goes dead. Figure maybe its a blown fuse, all let them deal with it.
Next day dealer calls says they had to redo the o-ring job it was still leaking. The dash cluster had to be sent out to a specialty shop. Bad relay and they can't work on them. They think it may be something to do with the actuator instale and there going to cover it under the warranty.
Call dealer late afternoon the next day. Dash is back together, still leaking oil. Now they say it needs a new injector pump.
So my question is, how can this possibly be leaking oil from top of the engine down the back side of the engine, through the bell housing, down the flywheel and drip from a point that looks like the rear main seal?
