super duty chassis-cab
does the chassis cab have a different payload than the regular pickups? seems like i have more leaf springs than regular "bedded" trucks

You're right- the cab & chassis models are different than the pickups.

But yeah, the chassis-cab (an F450 perhaps?) would have heavier front springs for the increased payload.

i have a '99 f-350 v-10 4x4 chassis-cab. the front springs look the same as any others but, the rear spring pack has more.

my 99 f 350 has more in the back also.

I think the PSD has more springs in the front than the gas jobs.

Yes, the PSD is heavier than the gassers (everything else being equal), and has heavier front springs to deal with it.
