78 Bronco steering trouble
I have a 78 bronco 4x4 it,s been siting for about 9 years.
I recently started making some repairs to get it back to road worthy. when moving the truck around my yard I noticed the steering was very tight if I turn to the right and almost imposable to the left. since the truck has set for so long I opted to just replace the pump and gear box after changing these out I have the exact same trouble?
When I installed the new parts I jacked the front of the truck up so I could work the wheel back and forth to get the air out of the system. With the wheels of the ground it will turn in both directions but you still have to apply grater than normal force to turn the wheel. After the truck is on the ground its like not having P/S at all even when the truck is rolling.
Any ideas would be great Thanks.
Forgot to mention that, I have greased every thing I replaced the wheel bearings
and greased every thing at that point.
I'm going out to work on it now if I find anything I'll post it. If you or anyone else have any ideas please let me know. Thanks
