Xtreme 4X4

Anyone catch the Xtreme 4X4, they lifted a new 2008 with a 5" to 15" Kelderman airbag suspension and slipped 41's under it. WOW

Too bad they don't advertise how much it would cost for one of those kits. Prolly only need a small mortgage. Looks sweet though. Noticed the engine was fairly quiet even inside the shop. Kind of a lame burnout attemp. Shoulda had Stacey from Trucks take that baby out for a burn.

I was disapointed that they didn't really show the engine off. Yeah that was a lame burnout. But those replacement bumpers where pretty sweet. I liked the lift and tires as well. I know I can't wait to see the performance mods that the aftermarket industry comes out with.

Regarding the lift kit, I hear that the suspension is absoulutely identical to the 05-07 SD except for the sway bar links and pan rod bar. This is the same way Skyjacker and Fabtech had lifts for them at the '06 SEMA show. Looks good doesnt it?

Was nice to see the 08 getting lifted but that show is ridden with commercials…it may have covered a max of 6 to 8 minutes on the new 08 lifting.

I wish we could have heard it a little better, to see how quiet it really is. You could hear when they started it though, sounded just like a 6.0 starting.

I believe the front suspension is the same. They added 8 inches to the rear springs (correct me if im wrong) for better stability.

They changed the gears to 4.56 to compensate for those huge tires.

I have the show recorded and looked back at it and it looks like it had limited slip. I also think they edited the smoke show to not show as much tire melting.

it was open diff, you could see when they pulled the carrier, and there was some one tire fire with that burnout.

That's what I thought to but I watched it a few more timesand it sure looks like a two wheel peel. I can't be certain though. Oh well.

i thought that was only for the F450, to help with the ride since it has stiff springs.
