Letter codes on injectors
I am left with the impression that the letter codes on injectors ( C, D, E, F, G) are a function of characteristics related to certain years of vehicles, and not necessarily individual engines, for example some '85's are tuned to work with G injectors, some with C injectors. Or are they specific to individual injector pumps? What determines the matching of a new injector pump with new injectors? What would be the advantage, if any, of installing stage one injectors and new pump on a NA engine? From reading past posts, it appears to my untrained intellect that the stage one injectors will inject more fuel, an advantage in a turbocharged engine? It appears that I will shortly be investing in at least one injection pump/injector replacement, and possible 2. Not made of money, but willing to spend wisely for good quality products. Anyone got the patience to enlighten?
G code injectors go with a DB2- 5069 or 5070 IP.
The 5069 was used in the 93-94 7.3 turbo with automatic tranny.
The 5070 was used in the 93-94 7.3 turbo with a manual tranny.
My 86 6.9 had a DB2-4746 with B code injectors.
I seem to have misplaced my chart for the rest of the numbers.

If you change any injectors change them all, reason is the timing/firing of all the injectors must be the same...... any weak ones fire early.
Dave S., you commented on putting a 90's IP on your monster engine, and stage one injectors. I'm guessing that was to wring every bit of your improvements from your engine. Is there any need to emulate your choice on a NA engine?
