350 rear block question

I have a set of F350 blocks that a friend gave me. Want to put them on my 250. Went to dealer to get the longer u-bolts and was told that my 250 u-bolts were the same size. It doesn't look like there is enough meat on the threads for this to be the case. Is the dealer smoking something? I dont want to get everything all apart and then not have it fit. Measuring mine, they appear to be about 13.5 inches long.

What is the actual length of the 250 u-bolts?

What is the actual length of the 350 u-bolts?

you will have to get new ones anyway. sorry to say. the bolts are torque to yield which means they can only be used once. i mean at least i wouldn't reuse them. cheap insurance on one breaking.

I agree, my first statement is a little vague. I got new ones but they are the same as the ones on my 250 now. I didn't know if I could use the same length or not. Seems like i would need longer ones for the larger blocks.

The ones on your truck now prob are popping through the top cover 1.5 inches. Mine are comming through about 1/2 inch.
