I have a 95 psd crew cab and when i put it in drive and give it some peddle, the rear axle ***** up and when i let off of the peddle it goes back down. Everything is tight but i was just concerned that this might not be normal.
nope you got that wonderful thing called axlewrap! build a set of ladder bars with a shackle on one end and you will never have to worry about it again! however for now, i would suggest trying to stay out of the skinny pedal. if you get on it one real good hard time you could pretty easily snap that rear u-joint, i've seen it a hundred times and i have done it a few times myself (not all on my PSD)!
I am not sure of what you are refering to as ladder bars and the shackle. Or where to even put them at. Sorry about the ignorance but if you could can you give me a little step by step? Thanks, wayne
Building ladder bars is not a step by step at home job unless you are an experienced welder and fabricator.
Just giving it a little throttle in the parking lot should not be enough to make the axle wrap up. My money is on a broken leaf spring or spring mount.

mine used to before i built my ladder bars, it was terrible! i hate that 4" block ford puts in! you'd think for as expensive as these trucks are they would not have ot add blocks and engineer the springs better.
my first set of ladder bars were super easy to make, all i did was lengthen a 3 point tractor bar and bolted one end to a bracket i welded on the axle and the other end bolted to a bracket i welded on the frame. it tightened it up nice!
the ones i have on now look almost identical to these except on the single eye hole end i have a shackle attached. that allows me to load the bed full and squat the truck (articulate the suspension some) and keep the axlewrap to a minimum without stresing out the mounts when the truck is static http://www.magnumforceracing.com/ima...adder_bars.JPG

I guess we're envisioning different degrees of axlewrap. Every leaf sprung vehicle will wrap it up some....and our heavy trucks with tall blocks does do it worse than most. I was picturing my old 77. When the rear end broke it would wrap up to the point that it was pointed at the underside of the bed.....then BANG.....it slapped back down so hard it bounced the truck.
Evidently miller502's truck is still on the road, so it can't be as bad as I picture it.
my 91" has a 5in suspention lift with rear lift blocks.my girlfreind has a pic of my truck atemting a breake stand and as soon as the somke started to boile from the tires you can see the rear tires hope about 3 or 4 inches off the ground. How I never broke something is beyond me.(thank god for a well built dana 70)
yes I built and installed the axle my self. is there a certain messurement or length on the ladder bars couse I need a set.I have the equipment to build them.its a standard cab long bed f250.I've herd the longer the better.
