So my new project pickup got hit by a drunk driver, and it's now more of a project than I wanted. Here's my question. If I were to sell it, what should I ask?
1964 250 flatbed
Body- decent
Some damage, but I have a new fender, bumper, grill, and pan for the front end.
Engine starts and idles great but due to a leaky gasket in the carb, the accelerator pump doesn't work great. 20,000 on a REALLY good rebuild done by a renowned old-school ford guy. (Howard Edwards) Starts on the first crank in 10 degree weather. Huge radiator doesn't let it warm up much, though.
On top of all this, I have an extra cab in the barn with good glass and fairly straight sheet metal that I will throw in along with some other parts. (steering column, e-brake, gas tank, etc.) What should I ask?
Oh yeah, it's a straight-6.
Oh yeah, I have 4 new chrome hubcaps for it, still in paper.
Maybe I should take it to the rust belt. It's in Montana, no rust. $500? You're right, it's tough. I just don't want to get ripped off, and I REALLY don't want to rip anyone off.
You'd get $500 for it in MT probably.
friend of mine picked up a 4x4 64 with no rust and low mileage in Great Falls for $600 tho.. there are deals to be had.
