My stock headlight assemblies are yellowed and scratchy, and generally worn out.
I've noticed this a lot with 80's plastic headlight assemblies.
Is there a glass assembly that can be put in?
Also, my truck is a 1989. It has the turn signal to the side and a large squarish headlight. There is a year of truck that has a wider, shorter (height wise) headlight that has the turn signal under it. What year trucks have this setup and would this interchange?
He would have to change the fenders, and the hood as well, my 88, and his 89 hood has a steep angle in the front, the 86 is relatively thin and flat. Look at my gallery and see the front of my truck, it has a steep angle. Basically you would have to change the whole front clip. Fenders, hood, grill, Headlamps.
the yellowing/scratchy effect is very common. i had good luck using a polishing & rubbing compound several times and using a car wax a couple of times with a lot of concentrated pressure.
i was surprised how much better it looked when i got done. each time it looked a little better, that is why i did it a number of times.
