1998 exp. problems
battery light comes on when truck hits 3,000 rpms. (when i floor it) lights get dim and battery light comes under 3,000 rpm battery light goes off. then lights get back brighter.
also when idling not all the time the engine runs lumpy and almost cuts off sometimes. sometimes it does die. But when on the gas it runs fine. I'm thinking idle air control??? what you guys think??
its a 4.6 liter by the way

Sounds like maybe two different problems. Battery light may be the alternator or battery. Take it to an autoparts store and have them test them. Idle problem could be the IAC but I'd wait and fix the battery light prob first.
