Light Flicker / Surge Problem

I have a 69 F250 that, primarily when cold, seems to have a voltage flicker / surge, evident in the headlights, taillights, and dash lights. It's not related to RPMs - it just goes up & down at a rate of about once a second.

I'm not sure how to check the voltage regulator, and I understand there is a voltage stabilizer for the instrument panel. Any ideas on what the problem may be, or how to go about checking out the voltage regulator?

B9MZ-10804-C .. CVR=constant voltage regulator..But the cvr is used to regulate juice to the dash gauges, and has nothing to do with the lights.

One of our fine troubleshooting electricians will be along to help you.

First thing to do is cleanup all contact points for the charging system

Unhook the battery cables and clean all terminals

Unhook connector to Voltage reg and clean terminals

Remove VReg from its mounting and clean the mounting contact areas and apply di-electric grease to prevent further corrosion.

Hook everything back up and check for that flickering again.

Corrosion on electrical connections on these trucks is running rampant.
